Look both ways before you cross the Road.
On May 1st, we were physically and mentally shaken when out of nowhere Jacklyn felt ill and started having seizures. She was then thrust into a multitude of tests after arriving at the Emergency Room.

The doctors at Kootenia Medical Center found a mass in Jacklyn’s brain. We were sent to the University of Washington Neurological Center for a consult on her situation. There we were told that she has a brain tumor and will need brain surgery. After the life-altering bad news she came home to spend time with her friends and family.  She then had five more seizures and spent another four days in the hospital.

Our normal lives came undone and are continuing to do so. In life we know together we can take on any battle. With the support of you, our family and friends, we are continually reminded that this isn’t a defining moment in our journey together…instead just a bump in our path.

Unfortunately, the bump is full of medical procedures, complicated decisions, and illness. On top of those already mind-boggling things we are faced with the challenge of cost. As with many normal jobs these days, Jacklyn has no medical insurance. We know times are tough and we appreciate positive thoughts and prayer above anything…but the underlying trouble of cost is also in our midst therefore if you are drawn to help financially in any way to offset the expenses it would be greatly appreciated.

Life can change in an instant, so please look both ways before you cross the road.

Jacklyn Agate is often the center of attention for Dan Dekan.  They live a very normal life consisting of working five days a week, at very normal jobs.  Jacklyn is often found at the Coeur d’Alene Resort’s Logo shop working diligently keeping the store clean and inviting. Jacklyn is always quick with a warm welcome, enjoys meeting all the new people that cross her path, and she adores giving a helping hand whenever and wherever she can. Now the tide has turned and she is in need of our help.
